To provide a place to discuss and re-establish the blueprints that were given to the Seventh-day Adventist church in each realm of the human experience: The Physical, Mental, and Spiritual, as expressed in the Sanctuary, and the Three Angels’ Messages.

To explore and understand what sets genuine historic Adventism apart from all other churches, to recognize that we are no better than others, but to also recognize that we have been entrusted with three specific messages that are designed to produce righteousness in a people.

Goal of the Zoom Study

This is a part of an ongoing process to establish a study group with a core group of people who see that all is not well in the world, the USA, the Church, and themselves. Our goal is to study and understand how it is that our characters are made to fully reflect the character of Christ, and how it is that we can be among those ‘believers who will have an entirely different religious experience,’ and who will ‘set in motion forces that cannot be repressed.’

No one single person has been given all of the truth. God gives to each a facet of the same diamond, and it is by coming together in united study and sharing with each other what God has shared with each one, that we all can advance together toward the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus.

The Study Method

David's Men

‘And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.’              1 Samuel 22:2

Jacob's Sheep

‘I will pass through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep; and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire.’ Genesis 30:32

Those who view themselves as brown, speckled, spotted or grizzled, see themselves as under condemnation.  They see and recognize the fact that their robes are not white.  They perceive that they have a problem and seem to be unable to grasp the hand of Christ.  They understand that they are failing to attain to Christian perfection. You could say of this group that they are “wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.” This is a requisite step that we pass through in our Christian walk.

This same concept can also be seen in the selection process with David and his men. David is a representative man, and is a type of the 144,000; and as such it is interesting to note the condition of the men who were drawn to him.

Distress—those who see that their characters do not fully reflect the character of Christ;

In debt—those who try hard to keep the law but constantly fail, as they do not understand true righteousness by faith.  They find themselves always in debt to the law;

Discontented—those who are not content with their present religious experience.

“For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.”   Isaiah 54:7-8
